• Unique and dynamic – UNIX session IDs will be uniquely and dynamically generated without human intervention.
  
  
• Keep dependent processes consistent – previously used session ID dependent processes and configuration items will be kept after re-login, even if the session ID has changed, with little or no user interaction.

• Centralized management – centrally managed UNIX application access requires no or minimal desktop visit, installation and maintenance. All UNIX-based applications will be accessed through a browser interface of the organization’s choice (using either Active Server Page or Java technology).
  
  
• Fully secured – No UNIX ID and password will be required for end users to remember – this can help to significantly reduce security risks associated with improper password recording (e.g., yellow sticky notes next to PC).
  
  
• Full customizable – the service and solution developed are highly customizable to meet an organization’s needs.
  
  
• Leverage existing IT investment – the developed solution can leverage an organization’s existing IT investment and infrastructure and requires minimal change to infrastructure.
  
  
• Significantly lower IT operation cost – the solution developed will reduce the amount of time staff need to spend administering UNIX environments and managing desktop software – in larger installations, staff can be redeployed to more productive tasks or staff levels can be reduced.
