Security Recommendations

The recommendations are usually the most anticipated part of the Security Review. Our approach to preparing recommendations is based on:

• Describing the Recommendations - Many security solutions will emerge out of the assessment and trends analysis stages of the project. We will prepare a list of recommended technical environments, procedures and solutions that will meet your security needs -- yet still be practical and "actionable".
• Performing Gap Analysis - Identifying the differences or gaps between your current environment and the target environment is critical to developing an implementation plan.
• Preparing an Implementation Plan - Based on the Gap Analysis we can estimate costs, set priorities and describe the steps necessary to implement the recommendations.
  

How detailed is the Implementation Plan?

Some clients require a very specific plan while other are more interested in a priority list. While we are able to provide any level of detail that is requested, most clients prefer higher-level plans.

Regardless of the detail being requested, our recommendations will be for specific solutions, not abstract security models. We will consult with you on the practicality of the solutions before writing the final report.

After the Recommendations Report has been submitted, we can assist with the development of an ongoing Security Policy.
